Katy Perry weighs in to Taylor Swift vs. Nicki Minaj Twitter feud
She accuses Taylor of 'capitalising on take down of another woman.'
Katy Perry has weighed into the very public online Twitter spat between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj!
The whole debacle started on Tuesday night when Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to voice her disappointment at Anaconda being snubbed for Video of the Year at the MTV VMAs.
One subtweet seemed to directly refer to Taylor Swift, whose vid for ‘Bad Blood’ is nominated in the same category. The rapper wrote: "If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year."
Clearly riled, Taylor then responded to Minaj: "I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot."
Denying that the tweet was about Taylor, Nicki then responded: “Huh? U must not be reading my tweets. Didn't say a word about u. I love u just as much. But u should speak on this.”
Appearing to backtrack and put an end to the war of words, Taylor then said to Nicki: “If I win, please come up with me!! You're invited to any stage I'm ever on.”
Adding fuel to the fire, now Katy Perry has reignited the feud by accusing Taylor of “capitalising on take down of another woman.”
Katy, who is reportedly the subject of Taylor’s song ‘Bad Blood’, wrote: “Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably (immeasurably) captilizes on the take down of a woman…”
Neither Nicki nor Taylor have responded to Katy’s subtweet apparently keen to put the whole thing to bed!
Dragging Rihanna into things, Katy then questioned the exclusion of the “B**** Better Have My Money’ video, which was ineligible due to its release date.
