Justin Bieber explains why he stormed off stage during UK show
Justin left the stage during a show in Manchester
Justin Bieber shocked fans last week when he dropped the microphone and stormed off the stage during a live show in Manchester. Now the pop superstar has explained his actions in a series of tweets.
The ‘Sorry’ singer wasn’t the most popular man in the building when he demanded his fans to stop screaming during gaps between his songs.
In footage caught on camera by a fan, the 22-year-old can be heard saying, “I appreciate all the support, I appreciate love, I appreciate the kind things. But the screaming in these breaks has got to stop. Please and thank you. I don't think it's necessary when I'm trying to say something and you guys are screaming.”
The singer later returned to the stage admitting he was upset because he felt people weren’t giving him respect whilst he was performing.
Now, Bieber has explained in full about his actions, in tweets which have now been deleted, the 22-year-old wrote, “People tend to want to shut you down. What I mean by that is … people try to twist things, some people don’t want to listen. But I simply feel like, if I didn’t use this platform to say how I truly feel, and if I didn’t use this platform to be the man that I know I am, and speak from what’s in my heart, then I’m doing myself injustice, and I’m not doing anybody in this audience any justice.
“There’s going to be times where I say the wrong thing, because I’m human. … There’s times when I get upset … times when I get angry, there’s times when I’m going to be frustrated. But I’m always going to be myself on this stage."

He then added, "All I was simply doing was wanting people to listen; to kind of hear me out a little bit. Certain cities aren’t going to want to hear me out, and you know, sometimes it’s my job to just say, ‘Hey, I’m not going to try to force anything."
Having performed dates in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield and Glasgow, the singer has now left the UK with his Purpose World Tour and is now heading to Europe.
The tour is due to end on November 29th.
