Jax Jones reveals where his stage name comes from
It's very different from his real name
Jax Jones has now announced a new tour for 2024, where we can expect to hear some of his biggest tunes, but while he's known as Jax Jones to many, the DJ's real name is actually Timucin Kwong Wah Lam.
What is Jax Jones' real name?
Jax who is of Turkish and Malaysian descent, confirmed to us that his real name is Timucin Kwong Wah Lam, and explained why he has a love-hate relationship with his name, because no one can seem to pronounce it.

Why did he choose the stage name Jax Jones?
Telling us how he came up with his stage name Jax Jones, he revealed it comes from the Cockney Rhyming Slang, "On your Jack Jones", meaning "On your own".
"This artist project for me is a big step, at the time I didn't have the confidence to do music on my own," the 'Whistle' DJ explained.
"The name represents that I'm on my Jack Jones and I put an 'x' on the end because I didn't want to get sued!"
Who would he like to collab with?
Over the years, Jax has had loads of successful collabs, but he revealed two artists the would still love to collab with, saying: "I would love to make a song with The Weeknd or Billie Eilish. I just think, for dance music to do a record with those kind of voices would be really powerful and fresh, and push the genre forward.
"Especially house music because sometimes house music can be a bit nostalgic, so it's really interesting to try those sort of vocalists on it."
