Instagram’s new update has fooled a lot of people

Instagram updates are normally welcomed by its 500 million active users but the platform's latest update has left many fooled...
The new feature means that if you screenshot another user’s pictures in Instagram Direct they will receive a notification to tell them about your activity.

Uh oh! Who's going to be found out?
Don't panic though, the new update only occurs if you are using Instagram Direct and if you don't know the difference, Instagram Direct is where you can send videos and snaps to another user but they disappear after just a few seconds.
Phew!
Despite the update not being throughout the whole platform, many users were fooled by the news and took to Twitter to vent their frustration…
At the moment users of the popular social media platform are able to screenshot any 'normal' (not in Instagram Direct) content and not be found out.
The new update has been rolled out quietly by Instagram, with no further information detailed.
Since its launch in 2010, the photo sharing platform which allows user to share their photos with an array of filter options, has increased in popularity and now has an estimated 60% active daily users.
The first ever photo uploaded to Instagram was by Kevin Systrom on July 16th 2010.
Since then certain features such as video, advertising and Instagram Direct have all been added to improve the platform.
Just remember, be careful what you screenshot!
