Instagram's had a bit of a makeover

Yesterday, Instagram launched its latest update and it’s given itself a bit of a Summer (ok Spring) makeover.

It’s got a new set of icon designs and once open there’s a new monochrome colour scheme meaning photos and videos stand out more. Instagram explains the simplified app design ‘puts the focus on your posts and keeps your features in the same place.’

The app’s new logo started life as installation using 400 flowers by Brazilian artist Paula del Valle, it took him eight hours to make.

But people can chill because those rumoured changes to Instagram’s algorithm have not taken place with this update.
