Ed Sheeran turns surprise wedding singer

Guests at a wedding in Belfast this weekend got a big surprise when the wedding singer turned out to Ed Sheeran.

Couple Brid McDaid and Sandy Staham got married at Beech Hill Hotel, Northern Ireland on Sunday. When the bride decided to enlist the help of her famous brother Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, he upped the ante and brought his mate Ed with him.

The pair took to the stage and wowed guests with a performance that included Ed’s hit ‘Tenerife Sea’, Snow Patrol’s ‘Chasing Cars’ and Steve Wonder’s ‘Superstition’.

Sheeran and Snow Patrol go away back, as he supported the band on their North American Tour in 2012.
