Ed Sheeran mistaken for Prince Harry on commemorative wedding plate
The seller insists it's intentional

One of the biggest weddings to be happening this year is the Royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, so of course it's going to attract a lot of memorabilia, both official and unofficial.
This latest creation, a commemorative wedding plate, has attracted attention for all the wrong reasons. Being sold on craft website Etsy, this plate has a photo of pop star Ed Sheeran in place of Prince Harry, next to Meghan Markle. The product description reads, 'Celebrate THE wedding of the year with this beautiful china plate featuring the portraits of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.'
The description continues, 'Whether you choose to eat your toast and Marmite (Harry’s favourite snack*) from, or hang it on your wall, this plate won’t fail to raise a smile and evoke pride in our country’s most cherished couple.
'* I made that bit up.'
However, the photo clearly shows the 'Shape of You' singer alongside the former Suits star.
Dailymail.co.uk reports that the seller Lucy has explained that using Ed Sheeran's photo is totally intentional. She said it was inspired by a commemorative mug that featured Prince Harry instead of Prince William for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding in 2011.
Despite this explanation, a number of people thought it was unintentional and have taken to social media to express their thoughts on this interesting plate. One user, a former Royal chef commented, 'Loving all the #PrinceHarry and #MeghanMarkle #RoyalWedding2018 memorabilia. Just think some companies should do a little more research first 😂😂😂'.
We are just over a month away from the Royal wedding which will take place on Saturday 19th May. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement back in November 2017 and over the following months they announced further details including the timings of the ceremony and who will be invited.

Although no celebrity guests have been confirmed yet, it is thought that Ed Sheeran could be on the guest list and may even perform at the Royal wedding.
Last month details of the wedding cake were revealed and it sounds delicious. In a break from tradition it will be a lemon elderflower cake. The Palace went on to say 'Lemon elderflower cake that will incorporate the bright flavours of spring. It will be covered with buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers.'
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle on 19th May 2018.
