11-year-old Drake fan has heart surgery days after meeting the rapper

Sofia Sanchez, an 11-year-old girl, who is HUGE fan of Canadian rapper Drake, has had successful heart surgery, days after she met her idol. Sofia was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, which causes heart failure, meaning she needed a heart transplant. A message on the little girl's Go Fund Me page read, 'Sofia is out of surgery! Surgery went well. She received a really good, strong heart'.

Sofia had two wishes for her birthday, one was to meet Drake and the other to get a new heart. Two days ago, the news that Sofia was to receive a new heart was revealed through an Instagram video, where Sofia's reaction to the news brings tears to your eyes. Watch the moment below.

Drake decided to meet his fan after she posted about her two birthday wishes on her hospital blog. The hospital blog also showed a video of the young fan doing her own version of the rapper's 'Keke/In My Feelings' Challenge, which has been taking the world by storm recently.

The ‘In My Feelings’ challenge started after American online comic Shiggy posted a video of himself dancing to Drake's new track. Since then, celebrities and fans have been trying out their moves.

The challenge, also nicknamed the 'Keke Challenge’, has seen people from all over the world show off their moves, however, in Spain some fans have been caught on camera jumping, or falling out of moving cars, in an effort to film their own version for the challenge. According to the Mail Online, Spanish police are understandably worried that someone could end up being seriously injured or even killed, and have warned against doing it.
