Demi Sims opens up about skin condition as she admits editing Instagram snaps
The TOWIE star has spoken out about suffering from vitiligo
TOWIE star Demi Sims has opened up about feeling insecure about her Vitiligo in a heartfelt Instagram post.
Alongside a picture of herself in a cut-out black swimming costume on beach, Demi, 24, admitted she would edit the skin condition out of her social media snaps as she wrote, 'Vitiligo gang! I remember how worried I used to be about my patches, always putting make up over them and editing them out of my pictures and now I am so proud of them!
'Within only a couple of years my mind set has changed, and that’s because of the support I’ve had from you guys! So thank you, you don’t realise how much a nice comment goes a long way.'
She continued, 'Everyone is unique in their own individual way, always remember how special you are.' (sic)
Fans were quick to throw their support behind Demi with one follower commenting, 'Demi I just want to tell you that you’re beautiful just the way you are, it fills me with happiness to see that you no longer hide what makes you unique. I love u so much.'
Another revealed that she had also been self-conscious of her vitiligo saying, 'I am part of the vitiligo gang! I have it on my feet, my legs, my stomach, my groin, my boobs and my hands. It got a lot worse when I was pregnant two years ago and since then I have embraced it too. We are beautiful.'
Demi’s famous friends and family members also praised the Essex reality star’s bravery with Love Island’s Georgia Harrison commenting, 'I love this and you xx' whilst her sister Frankie left a series of red love hearts on her post.

Demi is currently on an extended "work trip" in Mexico with her girlfriend, Francesca Farago, 27, who starred on the hit show Too Hot To Handle.
The reality pair only went official last month when Francesca asked Demi to be her girlfriend with a romantic proposal on the beach, but things between them are already getting super serious.
Not only has Francesca got a tattoo of Demi's name on her bum, but they've also teased plans to get married.
Opening up about the subject in a Q&A on her Instagram Stories, Demi was asked, "Do you see yourself marrying the person you're with?" to which Francesca responded, "Yes," on her behalf.
Francesca then smothered Demi in kisses as she replied, "I'm waiting for the ring, babe."
