Chris and Rosie Ramsey talk Gen Alpha slang, parenting and poonamis 👀

Chris and Rosie Ramsey are TV presenters, parents, podcasters, and now children's book authors. The couple joined KISS Breakfast with Jordan and Perri to talk about their new book, called There's a Poonami in My House, as well as being parents and those Gen Alpha slang words that are creeping into every day life. When Jordan revealed his kids don't stop using this 'new slang', Rosie asked, do you know the song? Chris and Rosie then broke into the slang song, which included words such as Sigma, Gyatt and Rizzler. And if that left you confused, you aren't the only one.
Perri was left completely lost for words after hearing their performance, and Jordan admitted he's heard his kids saying a lot of these words, and been left totally baffled.
During the interview, the pair who have just released their new kids' book There's a Poonami in My House, opened up about the inspiration behind the book, and being working parents.
When asked about the inspiration, Chris explained: "It just feels like sometimes though like... obviously our child has never had a poo that took over the entire house, would I be annoyed or impressed? I don't know, but it does feel like it has."
Rosie continued: "We've definitely had a few poonamis, you know when you get them out of the cot and they're just covered from head to toe, and you're just like 'what do I do?', 'what happened?', and you've just got to hold them over the bath!"

The couple, who are very busy promoting their popular podcast, book and more, admitted that their tours are the favourite thing they do. "We both love live," revealed Rosie, continuing: "We just quite like working together, it works, but the relationship side is very different from the work side. I think we kind of go to a different.... I don't know!"
Chris then added: "I don't know, there are arguments where (we say), we need to stop this, we can't do this any more! That gets thrown around very regularly, but we never mean it."
However, Rosie admitted: "Like we say, we've said this from day dot, our marriage is more important than anything that we do, so the minute that we feel like the marriage is failing because of that, it will go."

3) See-No-Evil Monkey 🙈
While most people assume it mean 'oh dear' or 'oops', the 'See-No-Evil Monkey' actually part of the 'see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil' proverb, hence the other two monkey emojis next to it.
4) Person Gesturing No 🙅
While it looks like the person could be doing The X Factor symbol, she is actually gesturing 'no'.
5) Face With Steam From Nose 😤
In a survey conducted last year 69% of the people asked perceived this to mean 'very angry/in a huff'. It actually means 'expressing triumph after great frustration'.
6) Tired Face 😫
This 'tired face' is often confused with the similar 'weary face'. Some also interpret it as a frustrated face.
7) Hushed Face 😯
Its proper definition is someone who should be kept quiet, but many believe it to be surprised or astonished.
8) Disappointed but Relieved Face 😥
Contrary to the upset meaning that many use it for, its true meaning is 'disappointed but relieved'.
9) Dash Symbol 💨
Whilst many think of this as a fart it actually means the fast movement of a person or vehicle!
10) Person with Folded Hands 🙏
No, this person isn't praying! In Japan, a folded hand gesture is commonly used to say 'please' and 'thank you'.
11) Poop emoji
Perhaps the most famous misinterpreted emoji, this little fella isn't actually a poop - he's a happy chocolate ice cream, duh. It was proven (by science) when a Twitter user superimposed the ALLEGED poop over the actual Ice Cream emoji and the shapes fit exactly.
12) Dancing girls
These are dancing girls of the rather more risqué persuasion than what you've been using them as. Sure, nothing says gals night out on the town like these two, but they actually originated as Japanese 'bunny girls', akin to strippers or playboy bunnies.
13) Sassy Girl
There's a Sassy Girl in all of us, but it turns out she's not actually flicking her hair like she just don't care in this emoji - she's actually an information kiosk lady. Who knew.
14) Aubergine emoji
While we know - WE KNOW - that popular culture dictates that this is, in fact a peen, you'll be sad to know that it wasn't designed as such and is actually just an Aub. Day ruiner or what.
