Celebrities pay tribute in song and on social media to murdered singer Christina Grimmie
The 22-year-old was shot on Friday
Stars have been paying tribute to singer Christina Grimmie, who was shot whilst signing autographs at a concert venue in Orlando on Friday night.
The 22-year-old was targeted by 26-year-old Kevin James Loibl who had travelled over two hours to the Plaza Live venue to attack her. The singer sadly died from her injuries.
Christina's brother Marcus tackled the gunman who then shot himself. Police praised her brother for tackling Kevin, who was carrying two guns and a hunting knife, saying it probably prevented more people being hurt.
Breaking his silence, Christina's brother Marcus revealed his heartbreak. "Christina was more than my sister. She was a partner in life. A superstar. A goofball. Introverted. And a friend to everyone. Genuinely. But above all … she was my baby sister. I honestly don't know what I'll do without her."
During a concert in Miami, Selena Gomez broke down crying when performing 'Nobody' before paying an emotional tribute to her friend.
Charlie Puth was performing in New York and also dedicated a song to his good friend.
'Fight Song' star Rachel Platten also told the audience at the BLI Summer Jam event in New York: “I got to know her very well and we're still in a lot of shock and it's hard to make sense of these kinds of things. She made this world a better place so I want to dedicate this to her tonight. Christina, I know that you're listening and we love you."
At the same event, Fifth Harmony said she was a ‘beautiful soul and a beautiful talent’.
Meghan Trainor also joined in the tributes.
And more celebrities expressed their heartbreak at the loss.
Christina had a huge following on YouTube and appeared on the US version of The Voice in 2014.

The attack happened only one day before 49 people were killed and more injured after a man opened fire in a gay club in Orlando. 29-year-old Omar Mateen took hostages in the nightclub Pulse on Sunday morning and was killed after the three hour ordeal.
Celebrities have been taking to Twitter to call for tighter gun controls after the shocking incidents.
