It's safe to say that Britney Spears' frequent Instagram posts certainly light up our days, whether it's the singer showing off her dance moves or just sharing an inspiring message - however, it looks like we're going to be seeing less of the 40-year-old, with her announcing she is going on a 'social media hiatus'.

It's not all bad news, as the singer did hint that the break wasn't permanent, revealing she'll be gone 'for a little while'. Sharing a clip of an extremely chilled out baby, Brit wrote: 'I’m going on a social media hiatus for a little while 📱 !!! I send my love and God bless you all 💓💓🌹🌹 !!!' (sic).

Of course, fans flooded the comments with well wishes, with one writing: 'take as much time off as u need 💗 love u sm britney' (sic), another commenting: 'Take care, Britney!! 💖💖💖', and another adding: 'Miss you already'.

The break may not come as a huge shock to many, with Britney recently announcing on her Instagram that she is pregnant - with her and her new hubby, Sam Asghari, officially expecting their first child together!

Britney's pregnancy announcement came just days after the singer confirmed that her and Sam, who had been together for five years prior, were officially married! Sharing a holiday picture of him, Brit wrote: 'Trust me I know the beauty in where I am and it’s much appreciated … so here’s me shooting pics of my HUSBAND 💍 !!!!' (sic).

Although Britney has not confirmed when she will be making her return to social media, it looks like we're going to have to wait to see any snaps of the singer's blossoming baby bump, with Britney revealing: 'I obviously won’t be going out as much due to the paps getting their money 💴 shot of me 📸'.

In the meantime, we're keeping our eyes peeled on Sam's social medias for any updates on the pair's pregnancy journey! 👀
