9 year old girl critically injured in Halifax collision

A girl aged 9 has been critically injured after a collision at a Halifax pedestrian crossing.

Police were called to the site on King Cross Street, near the junction of Park Road, just after 11am on Saturday (9th July).

The youngster had been using the crossing with an adult when the incident occurred.

She was taken to hospital for emergency treatment where she remains.

A man aged 53 has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving by West Yorkshire Police.
