KISS Fresh celebrates Black women in music, entertainment and sports
Shining a spotlight!
Last updated 3rd Nov 2023
At KISS Fresh, we continuously honour Black culture and excellence throughout the year, both in our presenter lineup and the music we play but, for Black History Month 2023, we wanted to shine a spotlight on 'Black Women in Music'.
We delved deep into the experiences and stories of Black women in the music industry, who work behind the scenes in roles including Music Lawyers, Artist Managers, and Songwriters as well as many other jobs, under-represented by Black women in the UK.
Our aim was to uncover their perspectives on the challenges they face as Black women in the industry, their biggest wins and what they love about being Black.
