Family Pay Tribute to Murdered Woman

Cause of death was ligature strangulation

A woman who was found murdered in Heywood has today been named. Shortly after 3:50pm on Thursday 13 August 2015, police found the body of 24-year-old Katelyn Parker in a blue Nissan NX100 on River Street, Heywood. A post-mortem examination was carried out to determine the cause of Katelyn’s death which has now been determined as ligature strangulation. Paying tribute, her family said: "Katelyn was a loving and special person. She saw the best in everybody and was happiest when spending time with her friends and family. “Katelyn was a vibrant and sociable young woman with a big heart and an even bigger smile.
