British Transport Police are appealing for information after a pregnant passenger was sexually touched on a train travelling between Manchester Piccadilly and Cleethorpes.

The incident happened on Saturday, 27 August at around 6.30pm but details have only just come to light.

PC Karen Taylor-Malkin said: "The victim was walking through the first class carriage to the toilet when she was touched inappropriately as she passed a male passenger.

"This is entirely unacceptable behaviour and will not be tolerated."

After reviewing CCTV, officers are today issuing an image of a man they want to speak to about the incident.

"I believe the man in the image has information about this incident. Who is he?" added PC Taylor-Malkin.

Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference 122 of 07/10/2016.

Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
