Homes evacuated in Notting Hill building collapse

Around eleven people were evacuated from their homes in Notting Hill over night - when part of a building collapsed.
Firefighters say the collapse was affecting multiple properties on McGregor Road.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: "A row of three terraced houses that have been converted into flats were affected. The front gable end of all three properties fell to ground level."
The Brigade was called at 0110 and Control Officers mobilised two fire engines from North Kensington Fire Station and a fire rescue unit from Chelsea Fire Station to the scene. The incident was over for firefighters by 0303.
There are no reports of anyone being injured.
A spokesperson for Kensington an Chelsea bourough council said: "We're supporting residents with accommodation, liaising with landlords and home owners, and our structural engineers and building control teams will be on site into the morning to assess. We anticipate disruption in the local area, including road closures, throughout the day"
Residents who were evacuated spent the rest of the night in a nearby hotel.
