Flood warnings are still in place across large parts of Greater Manchester, hit by torrential downpours on New Year's Day.

Firefighters had to use rubber dinghies to rescue around 450 people from a hotel in Didsbury, where a mosque was opened as a rescue centre. Many spent the night there:

Other volunteers include local Councillor, Richard Kilpatrick. He's been telling us that lessons need to be learned so this doesn't happen again:

In Stockport, people had to leave the Meadow Mill block of flats, after waking up to find cars submerged on New Year's Day.

It comes as the Met Office issues yellow weather warnings for ice and snow, with temperatures expected to plummet over the next few days.

Travel warnings have also been issued, with roads still blocked, and trams between Manchester Victoria and the Airport facing delays.
