Wikileaks reveals Tom DeLonge messaged Hillary Clinton advisor about UFOs
The former Blink-182 star is an alien obsessive
Newly leaked emails from Hillary Clinton's US election campaign team show that former Blink-182 star Tom DeLonge contacted an advisor on the subject of UFOs.
Among the plethora of emails released by WikiLeaks are at least two messages from DeLonge to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta about the phenomenon of unidentified flying objects and extra-terrestrial life.
In the first cryptic email dating back to 2015, aliens aficionado DeLonge promises to introduce Mr Podesta to two undisclosed people who are “relating to our sensitive topic.”
He writes: “I think you will find them very interesting, as they were principal leadership relating to our sensitive topic. Both were in charge of most fragile divisions, as it relates to Classified Science and DOD (Department of Defence) topics. Other words, these are A-Level officials. Worth our time, and as well the investment to bring all the way out to you.”
A second email from earlier this year sees DeLonge reveal he has been in contact with a prominent military official.
Referring to the famous Roswell conspiracy theory, which claims the US government discovered a UFO in 1947, DeLonge writes: “He just has to say that out loud, but he is very, very aware- as he was in charge of all of the stuff.
“When Roswell crashed, they shipped it to the laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. General McCasland was in charge of that exact laboratory up to a couple years ago.”
The emails also reveal that John Podesta is taking part in a documentary DeLonge is making on the subject. There are no replies from Mr Podesta in the leaks.
When Podesta left the Obama administration in February 2015, he tweeted: “My biggest failure of 2014: Once again not securing the #disclosure of the UFO files. #thetruthisoutthere.”
Earlier this year, Tom DeLonge hinted that one of the reasons he didn’t continue with Blink-182 was because of the top-secret work he was conducting into UFOs – something he has labelled a “national security issue.”
"I couldn't tell the band I was working with people in the government," he told Rolling Stone. "That's another big part of this story. People think I want to just put out a novel and make a movie.
“I have 10 people that I'm working with that are at the highest levels of the Department of Defence and NASA and the military. Big s***, and no one knows this. I'm doing all this stuff already."
DeLonge maintained he would still be a member of Blink if Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus had agreed to give him a break.
"If they would have come to me and said, 'Hey, you're really busy right now. We really want to do something, maybe we should get someone to fill in,' or something, I would have probably been fine with it," he explained.
Former Alkaline Trio star Matt Skiba replaced Tom DeLonge in Blink-182 last year.
