Weezer announce UK tour, hint at Reading secret slot & unveil new song ‘Feels Like Summer’

In a Weezer news triple-whammy, the band have announced a UK tour, unleashed a new single and dropped a strong hint they’ll be performing a secret slot at Reading Festival.

The first taster of Weezer’s eleventh studio album, which is due for release later this year, Rivers Cuomo and co. unveiled the sun-kissed single ‘Feels Like Summer’ last night telling fans “We decided to skip spring entirely and go straight to summer.”

Coinciding with the song’s unveiling, the Californian quartet confirmed they will be heading out on a European tour this autumn including five dates in the UK. It calls in at the following venues:

OCTOBER 2017

Leeds O2 Academy – Mon 23rd

Glasgow O2 Academy – Tue 24th

Manchester O2 Apollo – Wed 25th

Birmingham O2 Academy – Fri 27th

London SSE Arena Wembley – Sat 28th

Tickets go on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets at 10am on Friday 24th March.

As if that wasn’t enough, Rivers Cuomo has pretty much revealed that Weezer will be playing a (not so) secret set at Reading Festival this August Bank Holiday Weekend.

He told his one million strong Twitter faithful: “predicting weezer to be the secret act at reading. i'm feeling it.”
