WATCH: Sum 41 release comeback track 'Fake My Own Death'
The song features on the band's upcoming album '13 Voices'
Great news Sum 41 fans: a new album is on the horizon and to celebrate, the band have shared a video for 'Fake My Own Death'.
This won't necessarily be the first single from the new album, with the band stating they just wanted to share something with their fans while they put the finishing touches to the album.
Frontman Deryck Whibley :
*'Today is the day, we can’t wait any longer! You guys have been so patient and so awesome. We wanted you to have this, even though we’re still putting the final touches on the album and haven’t officially picked the first single yet... a new song with a video so you can see what the f we’re up to these days! Thank you all for being so patient! This one is for all the skumf! '13 VOICES' will be screaming on OCT. 7!'*
Five years on from the release of their last album 'Screaming Bloody Murder', fans were quick to comment about their excitement to have the boys back.
It's been a tough couple of years for the band, with Deryck ending up in hospital in 2014 after his drinking nearly cost him his life. He has since credited the new album with helping save his life. The band also returned to the live stage earlier this year with a headline slot on the Kerrang! Tour.
The Canadian rockers will release their sixth studio album '13 Voices' in October 2016.
