WATCH: Stone Sour crowd erupts into ‘f--- Nickelback’ chants in Chicago

In response to Corey Taylor and Chad Kroeger’s very public war of words over the summer, Stone Sour fans aimed obscenities at Nickelback at a show over the weekend.
Midway through their set at Chicago Open Air festival on Sunday (16th July), the thousands of Stone Sour fans in attendance launched into a cacophony of “f--- Nickelback” chants.
Visibly tickled by the vitriol aimed at his arch nemesis, a laughing Corey told the crowd: “You guys are f---ing insane! Come on, get it out your f---ing system, make some f---ing noise out there.” Corey and co. then proceeded to launch into a powerful rendition of ‘Bother’.

The Chad/Corey feud began last month when in an interview with Sweden’s Metal Covenant, the Nickelback frontman dubbed Stone Sour as “Nickelback Lite” and said that Slipknot’s masks were nothing but “a gimmick.”
In a typically hilarious and acerbic response, Corey told Arizona radio station KUPD that Chad has a “face like a foot” and he’s an “idiot.”
"You can run your mouth all you want,” Corey blasted. “All I know is I've been voted 'Sexiest Dude In Rock' wearing a mask. You've been voted 'Ugliest Dude In Rock' twice without one. Stick that up your ass."
