Slipknot have teased their upcoming documentary film ‘Day Of The Gusano’ by sharing a clip of their ‘Vermilion’ performance.

Hitting more than a thousand cinema screens across the planet on Wednesday 6th September, ‘Day Of The Gusano’ was directed by Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan and documents the Iowan masked metallers’ inaugural visit to Mexico City in December 2015.

As well as boasting live footage of their show in Mexico’s capital, the 90-minute film features exclusive interviews with the members of Slipknot and sees Maggots themselves share the limelight.

The accompanying press blurb reads: “Day Of The Gusano’ documents not only a historic Knotfest Mexico City performance from Slipknot, one of the most exciting live bands on the planet, but delves deeply into the lives of the band’s fans as well.

“Slipknot’s fans, better known as maggots, are essential to the band’s legacy. This highly anticipated show captures the chaos, excitement and community that has been cultivated over the past 20+ years.”

To whet your appetite ahead of the film, watch a tantalising 36-second snippet of their performance of 2004 anthem ‘Vermilion’ here:

The exact cinemas screening ‘Day Of The Gusano’ will be revealed next month. You can find out more at the official website.

Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan says: "Slipknot still has dreams for itself. Finally playing Mexico was one of them. It's been a surreal life of rock and roll for Slipknot and the fact that the dreams still go on for us is simply incredible. Thank you.

"We had such a great time at Knotfest Mexico... Not only with all the friends and bands that were there, but with the fans and the crowd we had to document it with. Now we get to share it with the world.
