WATCH: Slayer and Anthrax cover Bryan Adams' 'Summer of 69'

They pay tribute in Canada

Ahead of their show in Montreal last night (13th September), members of Slayer and Anthrax joined forces to pay musical tribute to one of Canada’s most famous sons.

Thankfully it wasn’t Justin Bieber, but chart-bothering purveyor of mellow rock Bryan Adams.

As filmed by Anthrax guitarist Jonathan Donais during the soundcheck, Anthrax singer Joey Belladonna joined Slayer’s Tom Araya, Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph to rip through a cover of Adams’ omnipotent anthem ‘Summer of '69’.

Check out footage of the performance here:

Unsurprisingly the cover didn’t make the setlist of either Slayer or Anthrax’s sets.

The thrash metallers kicked off their North American tour with Death Angel last Friday (9th September) and wrap up their extensive run of shows in El Paso, Texas on 27th October.
