WATCH: Royal Blood continue to tease new music
Album no.2 is on its way
Perennial teases Royal Blood have treated their fans to another tantalising snippet of new music.
Yesterday morning Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher posted a 48-second video to their social channels along with the caption ‘The is us then, where are you now?’
The short clip features forage of the duo in the recording studio and is soundtracked by their trademark riffs and beats.
Following this, Mike and Ben posted a selfie this morning that they captioned ‘About to go slay some f*ckin promo together’ – confirming they’re now actively promoting their second studio album.
Shortly before Christmas, the duo uploaded a 21-second video to their social channels teasing a new record. Set against a musical backdrop of Royal Blood riffage, the short clip sees a man get a tattoo of a diamond with ‘2017’ inked beneath it.
Although there was no mention of a record on Royal Blood’s post, a press release promoting it was headlined ‘Royal Blood post album teaser’.
The new album will land three years after the duo’s chart-conquering, self-titled debut that spawned the monster anthems ‘Out of the Black’, ‘Little Monster’, ‘Come On Over’ and ‘Figure It Out.’
Last month, Royal Blood announced their first UK show of 2017 at the Eden Sessions at the Eden Project in Cornwall on Thursday 22nd June. Tickets are on sale here.
