WATCH: Marilyn Manson decapitates Donald Trump lookalike in controversial 'Say10' video

The shock rocker shocks again

On the day Americans go to the polls to choose their next President, shock rock extraordinaire Marilyn Manson has unleashed a highly controversial video.

The Tyler Shields directed one-minute teaser video sees Marilyn – real name Brian Hugh Warner – clutch a bloodied knife on his throne while tearing out pages from the Holy Bible.

Saving the most shocking bit for last, we then see Marilyn clutching the decapitated head of a suited blond man who bears an uncanny resemblance to Donald Trump.

Musically, it’s an electro tinged, ominous rock beast with potent lyrics like “Cash is the poor man’s money” and the closing refrain of “you say blood, I say Say10. /You say God, I say Say10.”

Speaking to the Daily Beast about how the video can be interpreted, Marilyn said: “Either way (the election) goes, the visuals are meant to create contemplation. Because it’s obviously bigger than just (this election). It’s about the desperate acts of people who believe something that is preached by an unbeliever.”

“Right now we’re in such a state of confusion when it comes to religion, politics, sexuality, and how they all tie together, and it’s being turned into a circus and a sideshow - and that’s something that I’ve been described as a ringleader of.

“It seems like a time for me as an artist, and as an American artist, to make something that causes a new set of questions to arise that aren’t simply statements.”

In a Rolling Stone interview this autumn, Marilyn explained he will be refusing to vote in the US election: "I don't find either candidate to my liking, so I choose to stand out of this one.

"And I don't think that's a coward's stance. A lot of people might say that. I just don't really want to be a part of this piece of history. Last time, I did want to be involved in some piece of history as a voter."

Marilyn Manson’s tenth studio album ‘SAY10’ is released on ‘Valentine’s Day’ 2017.
