The band unleash the lyric video

Machine Head have premiered the lyric video to their hard-hitting and thematically potent new song ‘Volatile’.
Written and recorded on the same weekend as the notorious Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville last August, ‘Volatile’ is dedicated to the memory of Heather Heyer; the civil rights activist who was killed when neo-Nazi James Fields drive his car into a crowd of counter-protesters.
Lyrics in the track include: “Don’t blame the false elites / When Nazi a------s march the streets / So call me a hypocrite call me a fake / It’s nothing compared to your pride and your hate / These times are volatile.”

‘Volatile’ is the opening track of Machine Head’s new studio album ‘Catharsis’, which is released tomorrow (26th January) via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.
'Catharsis' was produced by Robb Flynn and recorded, mixed, and co-produced by Zack Ohren (Fallujah, All Shall Perish) at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, CA. Mastering was handled by Ted Jensen (Hatebreed, Alice In Chains, Deftones) at Sterling Sound, New York, NY. The album's cover photography was created by Seanen Middleton.
Machine Head follow the release of ‘Catharsis’ with a 10-date tour across the UK taking in Southampton, Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham, two nights in London, Nottingham, Newcastle, Glasgow and Manchester.
Singer/guitarist Robb Flynn comments: "It’s been far too long since we’ve demolished venues in the UK! We have had an awesome and productive break writing our new album 'Catharsis', but now it’s time for Machine Head to go melt some faces!!
“The reaction to our last 'Evening With' tours in the UK was nothing short of incredible, so once again these dates will be 'Evening With' shows and will see us performing 2-and-a-half to 3 hours every night, with no opening bands."
