Enigmatic Ghost frontman Papa Emeritus took a painful tumble off stage in Leeds on Tuesday night (28th March).

Papa and his Nameless Ghouls were performing ‘Mummy Dust’ 12 songs into their set at Leeds O2 Academy when the vocalist, real name Tobias Forge, attempted to stand on a stage monitor and fell directly into the pit.

Fortunately, blessed with good ole Lucifer on his side, Papa managed to avert injury, and, after being helped to his feet by security, he continued with the show like the consummate pro that he is.

The sold-out gig in Leeds was the fourth pit stop of Ghost’s Popestar European tour that kicked off in Norwich last Friday night (24th March).

Reports claim that band lynchpin Papa has enlisted new Nameless Ghouls to his band in a personnel change, however, as their names and faces have never been revealed it’s impossible to verify this.

Having rocked Glasgow last night, Ghost continue their UK tour in Manchester on Friday before playing shows in Birmingham and Brighton.

When the Popestar European wraps up in Finland on 30th April, Ghost will support Iron Maiden on the North American leg of their Book of Souls World Tour.
