Disturbed invited a fan in a wheelchair on stage with them in Auckland, New Zealand after noticing him in the mosh pit.

Returning to the stage for their encore at the Vector Arena on Friday night (18th November), singer David Draiman introduced fan Pete Congdon to the 12,000 capacity crowd.

"There's this gentleman sitting right by the front row. And this guy has not been able to see properly all night, but he's had the balls to be in the f***ing front row like this," Draiman told the audience.

He continued: "This is the difference between other genres and hard rock and heavy metal, ladies and gentlemen. You won't see this kind of bravery, courage, strength at a pop show.

"You think people have the balls to go ahead in a wheelchair to get to the front of a fing barricade when they go to see Britney Spears? Doesn't fing happen."

Draiman then invited Pete to share the stage with them for the remainder of their set that closed with ‘Voices’, ‘Ten Thousand Fists’ and ‘Down With the Sickness.’

Disturbed shared footage of the brilliant moment to their Facebook page on Sunday (20th November) and it has already been viewed over half a million times.

Pete has since commented: “I have to say a massive thank you guys not only did I get to enjoy a great concert of Devilskin and Disturbed in the mosh pit for my first ever concert but you guys got me up on stage instructing am still buzzing such a great night.

“Thank you so much for the privilege of being on stage with such great and inspiring men annals of for the gifts that I will keep forever. Wheelie Disturbed One.”
