WATCH: AC/DC’s Angus Young performs with Guns N’ Roses in Germany
They join forces once again!
Guns N’ Roses were joined on stage by their good friend Angus Young in Germany last night (22nd June).
The Australian guitar legend came on stage 10 songs into Guns N’ Roses’ sold out show at Messegelände, Hannover to perform rip-roaring rendition of AC/DC’s ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’ and ‘Riff Raff’ with Axl, Slash, Duff and co.
Guns N’ Roses streamed two minutes of ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’ on Facebook, which you can cast your corneas on here:
It’s not the first time Angus has teamed up with Guns N’ Roses on their highly lucrative ‘Not In This Lifetime’ tour. He previously played with them at two shows in Sydney in February and at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California in April 2016.
Axl, of course, stood in for Brian Johnson for the final European and North American legs of AC/DC’s Rock or Bust World Tour after Brian was ordered by doctors to stop performing or risk going deaf.
It’s currently unclear whether Brian will return to the AC/DC fray, however fans were encouraged when alongside Robert Plant he joined Paul Rodgers on stage at Oxford New Theatre to belt out a cover ‘Money (That's What I Want)’ last month.
Last summer Brian met with inventor Stephen Ambrose of Asius Technologies who is developing a new type of in-ear monitor that could allow the singer to return to the stage more permanently.
Brian said at the time: “It WORKS. It just totally works and you can’t argue with that. I was really moved and amazed to be able to hear music again like I haven’t heard for several years now. I can’t wait for it to be miniaturized so I can use it in every situation from normal communication, going out to noisy restaurants, to performing live music onstage.”
Set to be one of the highest grossing tours of all time, Guns N’ Roses’ Not In This Lifetime Tour has been met with rave reviews since it kicked off last April.
The European leg is set to take in shows in Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, France, Austria and the Netherlands in the coming weeks before culminating at Hayarkon Park, Tel Aviv on Saturday 15th July.
Guns N’ Roses then play a string of North American shows throughout the summer before taking to South America in the autumn.
The band have recently put together a video entitled ‘Not In This Lifetime European Tour 2017 Part I’ which you can watch here:
