Trivium frontman Matt Heafy has covered Britney Spears’ breakthrough smash ‘… Baby One More Time’.
Matt’s take on the 1998 Britney Spears song follows in the hallowed footsteps of his cover of Toto’s ‘Africa’ last week as part of his ongoing Kiichichaos Karaoke series.
Starkly juxtaposing Britney’s saccharine pop song, Matt was wearing a Bathory t-shirt as he gave it a glorious metal makeover.
At the conclusion of the performance, Matt says: "Yeah... yeah... that was awesome. Man, what a good song."
Matt holds the fan-requested Kiichichaos Karaoke events on the livestreaming platform Twitch and later uploads the videos to YouTube. Fans pledge money and Matt performs the song of their choice.
Trivium’s last studio album ‘The Sin and the Sentence’ was released in October 2017 and dented the UK Top 20. They followed its release with a brief headline UK this April.
