Travis Barker: 'I F***ing Hate The Police'
He sticks the boot into the LAPD
Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has hit out the Los Angeles Police Department accusing them of stereotyping.
The comments relate to a run-in Travis had with the police in October when he was pulled over on the way to picking his daughter up from school for not having a front licence plate on his Chevy.
According to comments his representative told TMZ, the officer allegedly gave him a once over and “then accused him of having drugs and weapons in the car."
After giving the officer permission to search his vehicle, Travis got off with a ticket but claimed the police “profiled” him as a gang member.
Letting off steam in a fresh interview with TMZ, Travis berated the police, saying: “I think they stereotype a lot. I f**king hate the police, to be honest. I think they're out of control.
“You see it on the news everyday, them killing like teens because they think they have something and they're in cuffs. Like I've seen all sorts of stories.
“Mine was really minor, but I think they over do it sometimes. I think they get ahead of themselves. If anything, I should have got it 20 years ago. That's when I deserved it, not when I'm going to pick my daughter up.”
In other Blink-182 news, the band release their brand new EP ‘Dogs Eating Dogs’ on 18th December. You can pre-order it through their official website now.
