Tool have unveiled the title of their eagerly-awaited fifth studio album – ‘Fear Inoculum’.

The Download Festival headliners’ follow-up record to May 2006’s ‘10,000 Days’ is scheduled for release on Friday 30th August 2019 and it was reportedly produced by Joe Barresi, and mastered by Bob Ludwig.

Although the enigmatic band are yet to reveal the track-listing, the album is expected to feature the songs ‘Descending’ and ‘Invincible’ that have been performed live at Tool’s 2019 shows.

The band revealed the ‘Fear Inoculum’ title in an Instagram post, which featured their fetching new logo.

They wrote: “FEAR INOCULUM, Aug 30th, 2019 Album Art, Lead Track, and Pre-Order info TBA. Thank you for your patience.”

In addition to the exciting album news, Tool have also confirmed that their four previous records - 'Undertow', 'Ænima', 'Lateralus' and '10,000 Days' – are hitting digital and streaming services on Friday 2nd August.

Earlier this month, Tool’s fabled 1991 demo tape ‘72826’ appeared on YouTube, Apple Music, Google Play and Pandora. It was the first time a Tool release had officially been available to stream online.
