Former Blink-182 star and acclaimed UFO investigator Tom DeLonge has teased new Angels & Airwaves music.
Sharing a photo of himself playing guitar, Tom told his half-a-million Instagram followers: ‘@angelsandairwaves music coming #StrangeTimes’.
After Angels & Airwaves fans expressed their delight at the news in their droves, in the early hours of this morning Tom befuddled everyone by saying his impending announcement has been pushed back.
“Hi- my big announcement is still coming. Gonna be a few weeks still, got pushed back. But... just had a MAJOR development, making it even BETTER,” he wrote.
It’s unclear whether this refers to Angels & Airwaves or UFO related after he teased a big announcement back in March.
The potential new Angles & Airwaves material would be the band’s first release since December 2014’s ‘The Dream Walker’.
Perhaps buoyed by the recent re-release of Box Car Racer’s self-titled album to celebrate its fifteenth anniversary, perennial tease Tom hinted at new material on Twitter.
He wrote: “All this talk about Boxcar Racer, who should we have guest on the album? (If there was one) :)”
Since exiting Blink-182 in disputed circumstances, Tom released the fiction book ‘Sekret Machines: Chasing Shadows’ in 2016 his first non-fiction book about UFOs called Sekret Machines: Gods in March.
Sekret Machines: Gods is the first of a trilogy and will be followed by Sekret Machines: Man and Sekret Machines: War.
Tom was also recently named UFO Researcher Of The Year by UFO website/YouTube channel Open Minds TV.
Last October, Tom hit the headlines when leaked emails from Hillary Clinton's US election campaign team showed that he contacted an advisor on the subject of UFOs.
Among the plethora of emails released by WikiLeaks were at least two messages from DeLonge to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta about the phenomenon of unidentified flying objects and extra-terrestrial life.
