The new album is the follow-up to September 2011’s ‘Neighborhoods’, which peaked at number six in the charts.

In a 2012 interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Travis Barker said the band were not completely happy with that album partly due to their hectic schedules.

"There's some songs on there that I love, but for the most part it was disconnected," he said.

"It was like, 'You do this part in your studio, and then you're gonna play on it and send it back to me.' When we're not in the studio together, you don't have the opportunity to gel off each other." He also said that his 2008 plane crash had an impact: "Dude, I was still healing. I had scabs all over my body and was, like, a bloody mess. It was just way too soon."

Mark Hoppus has lived in London since 2011. It’s currently unclear where the band are reconvening in the studio.
