Thom Yorke: 'I'd Sue David Cameron If He Used My Music'

He's not a fan of the PM

Radiohead and Atoms For Peace frontman Thom Yorke says he’d “sue the living sh*t” out of David Cameron if the Tories used his music in an election campaign.

44-year-old Yorke admitted he’s not too bothered about who likes his music - Cameron rates ‘Fake Plastic Trees’ as one of his favourite songs - but it’s a very different story if someone uses it for their own gain.

He told Dazed and Confused Magazine: "I can't say I love the idea of a banker liking our music, or David Cameron.

"I can't believe he'd like King of Limbs much. But I also equally think, who cares? … as long as he doesn't use it for his election campaigns, I don't care. I'd sue the living shit out of him if he did."

Yorke, of course, isn’t alone in his dislike for the PM.

Upon discovering that David Cameron listed The Smiths as one of his favourite bands (the PM has even quoted their song titles in Parliament), Johnny Marr famously tweeted: "David Cameron, stop saying that you like the Smiths. I forbid you to like it."

Marr has even said he’d reform The Smiths if the Coalition disbanded, adding to The Guardian: “I seriously did not like him dropping our name. He picked the wrong band."
