PRESALE: The Subways to perform 'Young For Eternity' in full on 2020 UK tour
They're hitting the road in March
The Subways will celebrate the 15th anniversary of their breakthrough debut album ‘Young For Eternity’ in 2020 by heading out on a major headline tour.
Produced by The Lightning Seeds’ Ian Broudie, ‘Young For Eternity’ shifted more than 100,000 units in the UK following its release in 2005 and spawned the towering Top 20 singles ‘Oh Yeah’ and ‘Rock & Roll Queen’.
Marking its 15th anniversary, the band are re-releasing the album on various formats on Friday 28th February 2020 before embarking on a UK tour the following month where they will perform it in its glorious entirety.
Kicking off at Newcastle O2 Academy on Thursday 12th March, the tour calls in at Glasgow, Manchester, Norwich, Bristol, Portsmouth, Birmingham and Nottingham before culminating at London O2 Forum Kentish Town on Saturday 28th March. Art Brut will be supporting at all dates.
Presale tickets go on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets at 10am on Wednesday 25th September. General sale follows on Friday.
Frontman Billy Lunn says: “Nearly fifteen years ago, when Young for Eternity was released, Josh and Charlotte were 18 and 19 years old, and I was 20.
“Touring our debut album was for us an adventurous explosion of excitement, just as every tour since then has been. In 2020, we get relive that initial excitement when we embark on the Young for Eternity tour to play the album in full. None of us can truly express just how thrilled we are that we get the chance to do this.”
