The Osbournes to return with new series on the BBC
Following Ozzy and Sharon as they move back to the UK

The Osbournes are set to return to our screens with a brand new reality TV series called Home To Roost, almost two decades after their infamous original show ended.
A huge hit when it originally aired on MTV between 2002 and 2005, The Osbournes saw Ozzy Osbourne and his wife and manager Sharon invite cameras into their lavish Hollywood home.
The fly-on-the-wall series documented Ozzy and Sharon’s often chaotic life at home with their children Jack and Kelly, plus their various pet dogs. The couple’s eldest Aimee declined to take part.
The BBC has now commissioned a reboot of the show called Home To Roost, which will follow Ozzy and Sharon as they relocate to the UK after more than two decades in California.
A synopsis reads: 'Expectation will produce the ten-part series of 30-minute episodes for BBC One and iPlayer, Home to Roost will document Ozzy and Sharon’s journey back to Britain, alongside Kelly and Jack’s efforts to support them, as they attempt to re-start their lives in rural Buckinghamshire.
'The series will follow the Osbournes as they celebrate one of their most important years yet – with everything from Sharon’s 70th birthday to Kelly’s soon-to-be-born baby, Ozzy’s tour, and of course the big move itself.
'This will be a genuine portrait, showing Sharon and Ozzy as they face up to illness and the challenges of getting older, but with the usual Osbourne eccentricities, humour, warmth and love.'
Clare Sillery, head of documentaries at the BBC, said: “20 years ago, the Osbournes left Britain for a life in LA. Now they are coming ‘home to roost’, back to their family home, pretty much as they left it all those years ago.
“In this new series, our audience will be able to follow the family as they settle back into their new life in a Buckinghamshire village … it promises to be a funny, moving and honest insight into their new life back in the UK.”
Speaking back in April, Ozzy Osbourne blamed The Osbournes TV show for some of the problematic issues that have affected his family.
"When you've got a camera crew living in your house 24 hours a day seven days a week it gets a bit crazy,” Ozzy said.
"The kids were doing drugs and alcohol and I'd gone back on the booze.
"By the time year three came along Sharon sat us all down and said, 'Do you want to carry on?'. Everybody just said 'no'."
In a recent interview with The Observer, Ozzy revealed why he and Sharon were moving back to their Buckinghamshire Estate.
"Everything's f---ing ridiculous (in America),” Ozzy said. I'm fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It's f---ing crazy.
"And I don't want to die in America. I don't want to be buried in f---ing Forest Lawn. I'm English. I want to be back.”
Ozzy underwent ‘life-determining’ surgery in June to realign pins in his neck and back following a serious fall, and just two months later he performed live at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony with his former Black Sabbath band mate Tony Iommi.
The legendary singer, who also has Parkinson's disease and emphysema, has said the performance gave him “hope” that his UK tour with Judas Priest in 2023 will go ahead.
Looking forward to his No More Tours 2 trek, Ozzy vowed: “I’m saying to you I’ll give it the best shot I can for another tour. You have not seen the end of Ozzy Osbourne, I promise you. If I have to go up there and die on the first song, I’ll still be back the next day.”
Ozzy Osbourne releases his new studio album ‘Patient Number 9’ on Friday 9th September, which features collaborations with Tony Iommi, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, the late Taylor Hawkins and many more.
