Student Demands Nirvana Video Message, Unaware Kurt Cobain Is Dead
Check out the letter right here
A dim-witted US student has written to Sub Pop Records requesting a video message from Nirvana – seemingly unaware of the fact that Kurt Cobain died 19 years ago.
The Virginia Tech student’s letter, printed on flowery paper with bunny rabbits, asks Nirvana to record a cheesy message offering their support to her campaign to become Homecoming Queen.
She asks Nirvana to say: “"What’s up Virginia Tech? This is Nirvana! Just wanted to wish you guys a Happy Homecoming Week and good luck at the game this Saturday. LET’S GO HOKIES!”
To add extra incentive for Nirvana, the unidentified student claims that it would be “great publicity” for the band and she would make sure it’s shared on Facebook and Twitter.
Since Sub Pop published the letter two days ago, it has gone viral with many fans aiming vitriol at the student. However, others are claiming that the letter is a hoax.
In jest, Sub Pop have recorded a version of the jingle which has amassed 100,000 views in a little over 24 hours. Check it out here:
