The Strokes To Release Fifth Album This Year
It will be preceded by the single 'All The Time'
The Strokes will release their as-yet-untitled fifth studio album later this year.
The follow-up to 2011’s ‘Angles’ will be preceded by the single ‘All The Time’, which has been sent to various American radio stations this week.
Seattle radio station 107.7 The End teased on Facebook: “Previewing brand new Strokes 'All the Time' thanks to RCA Records. We'll have to 'leak' this soon. You won't be disappointed...”
Various media outlets reported last summer that the band had convened on New York’s Electric Lady Studios to work on the record with producer Gus Oberg.
However, covering their tracks, the band’s label were swift to deny that any recording sessions had taken place.
Met with a mixed reception from the press, ‘Angles’ reached number three in the UK and stayed on the charts for 10 weeks.
The band have yet to quite reach the dizzy heights of their two-million selling debut ‘Is This It’ which is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of the noughties,
