Sonisphere organisers have added a fresh clutch of acts to this summer’s impressive line-up.

Heading to Knebworth House on the weekend of Friday 4th to Sunday 6th July are Wilko Johnson, The Defiled, Electric Wizard, Dog Eat Dog (playing ‘All Boro Kings’ in its entirety), Anti-Flag, Black Spiders, Brutality Will Prevail and Emp!re.

Completing the new additions are Krokodil, Raging Speedhorn, Reckless Love, Stampin Ground, Tesseract, The Hell, The Hype Theory and The Safety Fire.

Dog Eat Dog said of their slot: “We are very excited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ‘All Boro Kings’ album at Sonisphere. We look forward to partying with everyone like it was 1994!”

Ever politically charged, Anti-Flag commented: “Sonisphere is a new forum for us to discuss that we are a band that stands against racism, sexism, homophobia and cynicism. It is an opportunity we do not tread lightly upon."

Krokodil said: “Finally the summer of beers, friends and riffs is nearly upon us. Can't wait to bring the thunder but let's keep the rain out of the tents.

“This will be our first time at Sonisphere. Get down early to insure the perfect spot to bang your head!"

And The AvD from The Defiled enthused about their Main Stage slot: “Well it don't get bigger than this, and we are going to give Sonisphere one hell of a show to remember.

“This is the stage that Rammstein did their first outdoor show in the UK, so hopefully I will finally be allowed to set my keyboard on fire!”

Headlined by Iron Maiden, The Prodigy and Metallica, Sonisphere also boasts slots from Anthrax, Alice In Chains, Deftones, Mastodon, Limp Bizkit, Slayer, Ghost and many more across the weekend.

Tickets are on sale from kerrangradio.co.uk/tickets right now. You’d be a fool to miss out!
