Both siblings have gone home
Slipknot’s Mick Thomson has been released from hospital after being stabbed in the head by his brother in an alcohol-fuelled fight.
The 41-year-old guitarist and his brother got into an altercation with his younger sibling Andrew at a residency in Des Moines, Iowa in the early hours of Wednesday morning (11th March).
According to KCCI News in Des Moines, the brothers appeared to be intoxicated when police arrived and both had sustained injuries consistent with a fight.
After being separated by local police, the brothers were both taken to hospital in separate ambulances with non life-threatening injuries.
The BBC reports that patrol officer Danny Anderson has confirmed that both men have since been released from hospital and neither have been arrested while police continue their investigations.
After Slipknot fans voiced their concerns about Mick’s condition last night, Corey Taylor took to Twitter to give them an update.
He tweeted: “Mick Update: from what I've heard he's okay. We're sending him all your thoughts. Thank you for that.”
