Slipknot's Corey Taylor breaks neck without realising it
He's been forced to postpone some shows while he recovers
Slipknot and Stone Sour singer Corey Taylor has revealed to fans he broke his neck without realising it.
Corey took to Facebook and Twitter to tell fans he sustained the injury “a while back” and he has now been forced to postpone the first wave of Slipknot’s US shows with Marilyn Manson until August.
Posting a picture of himself wearing a neck brace and with a huge grin etched across his face, Corey tweeted: “Basically broke my neck a while back & didn't realize it. Had 2 have disc replaced & work on vertebrae. Those 1st shows rescheduled for Aug.”
He also posted a more detailed statement on Slipknot’s Facebook, writing: “Regretfully, I’m sending this to our fans to inform you that we will be postponing the first couple of weeks of our upcoming U.S tour.
“Unfortunately, I had to undergo an unplanned spinal surgery. I am recovering nicely, and all went well! I need a little recovery time before hitting the stage. We will start the summer tour in Nashville on 6/28 and continue as previously scheduled.
“An update on the rescheduled dates will be available in the next few days. I hope you all understand and thanks for always having my back!
Thank you
-Corey”
The singer also assured fans that Marilyn Manson will definitely be appearing at the US shows.
