Slipknot Announce New Album '.5: The Gray Chapter'

Slipknot have announced details of their first studio album in over six years ‘.5: The Gray Chapter’.

Released on Monday 20th October, anyone who pre-orders the album via iTunes will get 'The Negative One' and the recently unveiled single 'The Devil In I' as an instant download.

To celebrate the album’s release, Slipknot have announced details of their sprawling Prepare For Hell Tour - a major North American headline tour with very special guests Korn and openers King 810.

Kicking off in El Paso, Texas on 29th October and wrapping up in Boston on 7th December, frontman Corey Taylor is pumped for the live shows.

“We've been waiting a long time for this," Corey said. “Not only do we get to tour with friends who we respect, we've also chosen a band that represents the fury of the future. Slipknot is coming to your town. And hell's coming with us."

‘.5: The Gray Chapter’ is the first Slipknot album without the late-great Paul Gray and Joey Jordison who acrimoniously left the group in December.

Corey Taylor commented recently: "It's been a weird time for this band. There's a lot about Paul. There's a lot about ourselves.

It's us basically reconvening. We can either die under the weight of life, or… come back and be the Slipknot we know we can be."

"We were just knocked senseless by the loss of Paul, and then coming to terms with the fact that we had to make a really heavy decision about parting ways with Joe."
