Slam Dunk Festival 2019 announces first eight bands
The mighty All Time Low headline
All Time Low have been unveiled as the blockbuster headliners of Slam Dunk Festival 2019.
Having played a triumphant five-date arena tour earlier this year, the Baltimore pop punks will play their only two UK shows of 2019 next May at Slam Dunk Festival.
Singer Alex Gaskarth enthuses: “There’s been a bit of an ATL drought in the UK recently so we thought it best to come back and tear s--- up with some rad bands. Bring your life jackets.”
Also confirmed for the two-date extravaganza are NOFX, New Found Glory, Waterparks, Story of the Year, Gallows, Mad Caddies and Silverstein.
Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory said: “We are the Michael Jordan of Slam Dunk. And we are coming to alley oop all our jams down your faces.”
Also waxing lyrical, Story Of The Year’s Ryan Phillips says: “We are crazy stoked for Slam Dunk, especially since we haven't been to the UK in ages!
“We're itching to get over there and jam some tracks from our latest album ‘Wolves’, so get ready to have your face melted off and have all of your beer drunk by us dummies.”
Laurent Barnard of Gallows said: “We’ve tried to bury Gallows so many times, but the f---er just won’t die. I guess we’ll see you in May!”
Silverstein enthuse: “We are excited to be returning to the UK in 2019 for the next instalment of Slam Dunk! We originally played the festival way back in 2009 and have been looking forward to doing it again. Expect a jam-packed set of old & new material."
After the rip-roaring success of Slam Dunk South’s move to Hatfield House last year, the festival has also announced plans for a new site for Slam Dunk North, moving to Leeds’ Temple Newsam Estate so even more pop-punk fanatics can attend.
Tickets to Slam Dunk Festival go on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets at 9am on Friday 19th October.
Slam Dunk Festival takes in the following dates:
MAY 2019
Leeds Temple Newsham Park – Sat 25th
