You Me At Six’s Josh Franceschi slams Robbie Williams' "greedy" ticket prices

They're appearing directly on resale sites

You Me At Six singer Josh Franceschi has hit out at Robbie Williams’ management after it emerged they are putting tickets directly onto resale ticket sites at inflated prices.

As the BBC revealed yesterday, Ie:music are apparently placing tickets to the former Take That man’s tour straight onto secondary ticket sites Get Me In and Seatwave for up to £160 - that’s £65 more than face value.

According to the report, as the tickets came directly from management, all profits will go directly to them.

An outspoken critic of the secondary ticket sites, Josh Franceschi slammed the revelations in an appearance on the Victoria Derbyshire show.

He said: “You’re already charging £95 for a show and… this is only seats one block over and you charge an extra £60 for that. I don’t understand.”

Asked how he would describe the management team’s actions, Josh said: “Greedy, it’s simple as that. Tickets are already £95 and you’re playing Wembley Stadium, you don’t need to make the extra money. You’re Robbie Williams.”

Last November, Josh addressed MPs on the culture, media and sport committee where he called for ticket sellers who “force fans to pay hiked-up prices” to face fines or prison.

Giving secondary ticket sites a good kicking, Josh said that they merely “masquerade as fan-to-fan market places”.
