Punk rock heroes Rise Against have announced details of a six-date UK tour this autumn.

Part of a much larger world tour, the Chicago band will play shows in Sheffield, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Southampton and London in early November. Support on all shows comes from Pennywise and Emily’s Army.

Tickets to the shows go on sale from 9am this coming Friday (27th June). As always head to kerrangradio.co.uk/tickets to check availability.

The tour announcement comes just weeks Rise Against unleash their seventh studio album ‘The Black Market’ on 14th July.

Frontman Tim McIlrath said of the album: “It’s a pretty simple and visceral escapist sentiment.

“It’s about not wanting to be in a place, physically or mentally. It’s something most of us have said to ourselves, if not aloud, at some point in our lives.

“Whether you feel you are being exploited or ignored or you can just imagine a better place, it’s about longing for that place and finally admitting to yourself that you aren’t content with you current situation. But it doesn’t have the answer either. It’s just the first step.”
