RIP David Bowie - The world pays tribute
Foo Fighters, Pixies, RATM and more remember the music legend
The world is reeling from the devastating news that David Bowie has died at the age of 69.
Truly one of the greatest artists of all time, David died after an 18 month battle with cancer just two days after his twenty-fifth studio album ‘Black Star’ was released.
A short statement on David’s Facebook page reads: “David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer.
“While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.”
Also confirming the sad news, David’s son Duncan Jones posted a poignant childhood snap on Twitter
A cultural and musical icon, testament to David’s legend there has been an outpouring of grief from fans and music stars around the globe this morning.
