Featuring Bring Me The Horizon, Fall Out Boy and All Time Low get multiple nods

Published 8th May 2013

Bring Me The Horizon, Pierce The Veil and Fall Out Boy are amongst the leading nominees at the Relentless Kerrang! Awards 2013.

Continuing their sensational year, Oli Sykes and co. are up for Best Single and Best Video (‘Shadow Moses’), Best Album (‘Sempiternal’) and the prestigious Best British Band title.

Returning pop-punk heroes Fall Out Boy are nominated in the Best Single category twice ('The Phoenix' / 'My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)') plus Best International Band and Best Event for their Camden Underworld gig.

Post-hardcore favourites Pierce The Veil have also picked up four nods – Best International Newcomer, Best Single and Best Video (‘King For A Day’) and Best International Band.

All Time Low are vying for the Best Album (‘Don’t Panic’) and Best International Band while lead guitarist/backing vocalist Jack Barakat picks up Tweeter of the Year, Hottest Male and Hottest Female nominations.

"Once again the Relentless Kerrang! Awards returns to celebrate all that is great and good in rock music," says Kerrang! Editor James McMahon.

"I can say for a fact that all other awards ceremonies are crap compared to ours. I know this because I've been to loads of them, and ours is the only one where I've ever ended up on a rooftop talking to Jack Black about what pigeon tastes like at 3am."

"The secret is that we only do this for the fans," continues James. "Yeah, I know that makes me sound like Bob Geldof or something. But it's true.

“We only do this to celebrate the music the readers love, and to create new stories and a bit of magic that makes the music world that little bit more exciting than it would be if we didn't get a whole load of stars in a room and say, 'Let's rock!'"

Hosted by Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus and Anthrax’s Scott Ian, the Relentless Kerrang! Awards 2013 takes place at The Troxy in East London on Thursday 13th June.
