A Red Hot Chili Peppers fan has covered the Los Angeles funk rock band’s 2002 anthem ‘Can’t Stop’ on red hot chilli peppers.
Tik Tok user Tyzo Bloom has been posting a series of videos recently where he uses a toy called a Makey Makey to recreate popular songs.
The Makey Makey is an invention kit designed to connect everyday inanimate objects to computer keys to create music. Consisting of a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable, the toy uses closed loop electrical signals to send keyboard strokes to the computer.
In his latest Tik Tok video, Tyzo Bloom visits a grocery shop where he buys six red hot chilli peppers and hooks them up to his computer via his Makey Makey.
Using the chilli peppers, Bloom proceeds to play John Frusciante’s iconic guitar riffs from ‘Can’t Stop’ to startling effect.
Testament to its brilliance, Bloom’s Tik Tok video has been viewed over 2.2 million times in the past five days and counting. Watch it in all its glory here:

Speaking to New York radio station Q104.3 back in May, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith said the band had new music in the pipeline.
“There’s something coming,” Chad said. “We’re coming for you! I can say this, we’re making a record, we’re making new music. It’s very exciting and I don’t know when it’s coming out.
“But we can’t wait for people to hear it and we can’t wait to perform for people. Just like everybody else that really misses that experience.”
Legendary Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante rejoined the band for a second time in December 2019.
